Where Are You Located?Casa by Linda Recovery Guesthouses are situated in the scenic and secure communities of Punta del Mar and Punta Bandera, Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. Both locations, less than 2 blocks apart, offer calming ocean views for your relaxation and recovery. Conveniently, we are just 15 minutes south of the U.S. border with San Diego, accessible via the picturesque Baja California Scenic Highway, within safe and friendly gated communities. We typically allow for a 30-45 minute travel time when arranging rides to and from most surgery centers and doctor's clinics to accommodate unpredictable city traffic. Do Your Guest Rooms Have Air-Conditioning Capabilities?Yes, all guest rooms are equipped with air-conditioning. Our recovery homes, located along the Pacific Coast of Tijuana, tend to be 5-10 degrees cooler than inland Tijuana. It's advisable to bring layers of clothing as temperatures can vary significantly throughout the day, similar to San Diego, California.

Is It Safe For Me To Travel & Stay Alone During My Recovery Stay?Yes. Each year, hundreds of thousands of medical tourists safely travel to Mexico. While we understand the stress of foreign travel, staying at Casa by Linda means you're not alone. We provide the location, staff, and services to ensure a successful, safe, and restful recovery. Guests can also choose a "Companion Stay" for added support, including lodging, meals, and laundry, for a companion (spouse, partner, family member, or friend) at an additional fee.

Will There Be A Certified Caretaker Available 24/7 For Me?Absolutely. Post-surgery, you'll have a certified nurse with dedicated post-operative patient care experience available around the clock. They'll assist with personal care, medicine management, pain control, wound care, nutrition, and more. Will I Have Help To Shower, Change Clothes, Tend To My Dressings & Launder My Clothes & Compression Garments?"Certainly. Casa by Linda's aftercare includes comprehensive support with personal care tasks like showering, changing clothes, tending to wounds, and special laundering of both post-surgical compression garments and regular clothing. The team will also guide you on self-care practices for when you return home, including washing and putting on your garment. It's advisable to have two doctor-approved compression garments to ensure continuity of wear while the other is being washed and air-dried. Please see our Amenities section for more information.

What Meals Are Included With My Stay?Patient's Stay Nutritionist-inspired breakfast, lunch, dinner, and healthy snacks with recovery-focused ingredients. High-quality, fresh foods chosen to aid in reducing inflammation, constipation, pain, and minimizing infection risks. Meals served in your preferred location—ocean view dining room, outdoor patio, or your bedroom. Dietary accommodations for specific needs (allergies, vegan, keto, vegetarian, pescatarian, etc.). Companion's Stay Includes three meals per day similar to those provided to patients. What Transportation Is Included With My Stay?Casa by Linda's offers professional and discreet transportation services, ensuring safe and comfortable travel to and from your surgery location, follow-up appointments, and emergency care if needed during your stay. Please Note Airport transportation or additional medical/recreational outing transport is not included but can be arranged. Transportation costs apply for daily travel to lymphatic massage appointments or other requested services. Pre-surgery stay convenience fee covers transportation to your surgery admission. Can I Have A Guest Stay With Me?Absolutely. For your convenience, Casa by Linda welcomes companion bookings. Companion's Stay Includes lodging, three meals/day, and laundry service. Companions can bring their snacks and special beverages, order them locally, or utilize our drivers for store visits. Additional Nightly Rate For spouse, partner, family, or friend (non-binary & gender-inclusive). Rate varies based on the length of stay: 1-2 nights @ $100/night 3-5 nights @ $75/night 6+ nights @ $50/night Note Guests and companions can request sightseeing trips or medical/dental appointments during their stay, with transportation and referral pricing available upon consultation. Can I Stay at Casa by Linda's Before My Surgery Date?Certainly. Casa by Linda recognizes the importance of settling in before your surgery. Whether you wish to explore Tijuana, schedule an additional medical appointment, or simply acclimate, we offer a Pre-Surgery Stay rate of $150 per night for you and your companion. A one-time $50 Surgery Night Convenience Fee provides transportation the morning of your surgery, luggage stays in your room, and companion may stay in room (stay, meals included). Recreational, sightseeing, and medical activities and transportation can be arranged as well.

Can I Extend My Stay at Casa by Linda's?Absolutely. You and your companion can extend your stay with us, subject to room availability. Whether you seek more rest and care by the ocean, wish to enjoy delicious meals, dine out, watch the sunset, or schedule additional medical appointments, we'll strive to accommodate your preferences. Extended Stay Inclusions Meals, snacks, and laundry service for you and your companion are continued in your nightly stay rate. Transportation to recreational, sightseeing, medical appointments, activities, and airport can be arranged for your convenience.

What Is Included In The One-Time Medical Supply Closet Fee?The one-time $39 medical supply closet fee covers a variety of items, including bed pads, nitrile gloves, band-aids, body gauze & wraps, tissues, lotion, feminine sanitary pads, tampons, nausea bags, medical tape, antibacterial soap, rubbing alcohol, peroxide, toilet paper, earplugs, arnica tea, cotton balls & swabs, hand sanitizer, body wash, shampoo & conditioner, razors, an assortment of non-prescribed general supplemental medications (i.e. acetaminophen, ibuprofen, melatonin, enemas, tramadol drops, anti-nausea pills, stool softeners, etc.), and the use of a robe, slippers, hair dryer, hair straightener, walker & wheelchair during your stay. Note Depending on your surgery type, you may need to avoid items such as face & body lotion, deodorant, lip balm, etc. Please confirm these details with your surgeon.

What Is AMCPER & CMCPER? Why Is It Important That I Make Sure My Plastic Surgeon Is Listed With One or Both of Them?Certainly. AMCPER stands for the Asociación Mexicana de CirugÃa Plástica, Estética y Reconstructiva, or the Mexican Association for Reconstructive Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery. CMCPER stands for Consejo Mexicano Cirugia Plastica Aesthetica Reconstructiva. These are plastic surgery boards similar to the American Board of Plastic Surgery. When opting for any cosmetic or reconstructive plastic surgery procedure, it's crucial to choose a certified plastic surgeon who is a member of AMCPER and/or CMCPER. This certification ensures that your surgeon has undergone extensive training and is qualified to perform the surgery.

We understand that many recovery houses have restrictions on male companions, but at Casa by Linda, we do not discriminate based on gender identity. We allow guests to bring their chosen companions to share their personal bedroom. Companion Rate 1-2 nights: $100/night 3-5 nights: $75/night 6+ nights: $50/night Companion's Stay includes lodging, three meals per day, and laundry service. How Far Away Are You From the Hospitals and Surgery Clinics?Certainly. We are conveniently located 15-30 minutes away from most hospitals and surgery clinics. However, we plan for a 40-50 minute transportation time to/from surgery and follow-up appointments to accommodate potential traffic delays in Tijuana. Our priority is to ensure you arrive with sufficient time rather than risking any delays.

Is It Cheaper For Me To Fly Into The San Diego (SAN) or Tijuana (TIJ) Airport?For international travelers, flying into San Diego, CA (SAN) tends to be more cost-effective than flying into Tijuana, MX (TIJ). American Airlines has flights between Phoenix and Tijuana. You may want to search flights for both San Diego and Tijuana as more airlines add flights directly to Tijuana. Keep in mind that Casa by Linda can arrange airport transportation, and it's advisable to book an afternoon return flight for optimal travel times. Do You Offer In-Guesthouse Lymphatic Massage?Certainly. Casa by Linda provides in-casa lymphatic massage, conducted by a certified lymphatic masseuse. These sessions take place in the privacy and comfort of our spa room at a rate of $55 per session, along with a $10 in-casa service fee. Allow our trained staff to enhance the flow and health of your lymphatic system through a technique involving deep, slow, and gentle strokes, which can contribute to overall immune system function. Note It is crucial to consult with your surgeon regarding the use, frequency, and instructions for obtaining post-surgery lymphatic massage. How Much Of A Deposit Do I Have To Pay To Book My Stay With You?Casa by Linda requires a 50% deposit if booking within 3 months of your surgery date. Bookings of over 3 months from your surgery date requires a $150 deposit to reserve your room. Your balance is due upon your arrival.

What If I Book A Reservation With You & Decide To Cancel or Leave Early?If you decide to cancel your reservation with Casa by Linda before your scheduled surgery date, a cancellation fee of $150 will be charged, in addition to the amount equivalent to a regular one-night stay with us. If you reschedule your surgery, we can hold your deposit for you if you prefer to avoid the cancellation fee.

What If I Need To Stay Longer Than Expected At The Hospital?Absolutely. In case your doctor recommends a longer stay at the surgery center than initially planned, you have two options. You can extend your stay with us (subject to availability), or if you decide not to extend, we will provide a 50% refund for the nights you had originally reserved with us but won't be utilizing.
